How it works

Secure intake, step by step.

01

Verify your contact method

Enter your mobile number or email on any participating site. You will receive a one-time code to confirm it belongs to you. No password is required.

02

Your Claims Passport is created

A secure Claims Passport is created and linked to a unique Passport ID. If you have registered on another participating site before, your existing Passport is reused automatically — no duplicates.

03

Your contact details stay protected

Your contact details are stored separately, encrypted, and managed within the Claims Passport vault. Participating sites and law firms do not receive your direct contact details as part of the registration flow.

04

The right legal team is notified

The designated firm receives your Passport reference, your eligibility summary, and the details needed to assess your matter. Your contact details remain protected within the vault.

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

See all FAQs →
What is a Claims Passport?

A Claims Passport is a private identity reference — a single encrypted Passport ID — that lets you register interest in class action and compensation matters across participating sites without giving each site your contact details. Your name and contact method stay inside the vault and are used only as needed to support your Passport and related updates.

Do I need to register on every site separately?

No. If you already have a Passport ID from any participating site — ClassActions.com.au, Underpaid.com.au, or others — that same ID works everywhere. We deduplicate on registration, so you only ever hold one Passport regardless of how many sites you visit.

Will law firms get my phone number or email address?

No. Law firms receive only your Passport ID, the matter you registered for, your eligibility result, and a plain-English summary generated from your intake answers. Your mobile number and email address stay encrypted in the vault and are not included in any routing payload.

Is registering a commitment to join a class action?

No. Registering interest is not legal advice and does not make you a party to any legal proceeding. You choose an intent — either ‘Claimant’ (progress a claim) or ‘Keep me updated’ — and you can update or withdraw at any time from your Passport Dashboard.

How do I find my Passport ID after registering?

Your Passport ID (format: CP-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX) is sent to your registered mobile or email promptly after verification. To access your Passport again, visit claims.au/passport and enter your mobile or email — we’ll send a secure sign-in link to verify your identity and open a session.

Can I disable my Passport?

Yes. From your Passport Dashboard, you can update your contact method, pause notifications, or disable your Passport at any time. If your Passport is disabled, you may still receive important notices where required. Your Passport history will remain available in your dashboard.
